Meta-analysis for multi-tissue eQTL studies

Meta-Tissue is a free software for identifying eQTLs from multiple tissues. It uses meta-analysis to combine results from multiple tissues. As the above picture shows, studies may not detect eQTLs in any of 4 tissues (cortex, heart, liver, spleen). However, by combining results of 4 tissues, we may detect eQTLs. Hence, Meta-Tissue is a powerful approach to detect eQTLs shared across multiple tissues.     May 9, 2019: MetaTissueMM compiled with Intel compiler version 18.0.3 is released. Please try this version if you encounter segmentation fault or tissue-by-tissue results give very different results from linear regression in R.


    September 8, 2017: New version 0.5 is posted. It has a new option to display all statistics of Metasoft.


    June 22, 2017: A version of MetaTissueMM that avoids a segmentation fault is uploaded. Please read the FAQ section.

    August 15, 2013: Updated FAQ and download. Posted JAR files compiled with Java 1.6.


    July 31, 2013: New version 0.3 is posted! Please note that all options are changed to long option starting this version. It has many new options such as more powerful meta-analysis and cis-region analysis.
